My Hollywood Pride 2025 “Keep it 💯“
My Hollywood Pride was established through the advocacy work of the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council. The Council strives to advocate and unite LGBTQ+ residents in Hollywood and foster a more inclusive community. The Council was founded in 2019 by Hollywood residents, and continues to be a leading advocacy group, representing over 1500 members. The Council has continued to build on our mission to advocate and represent the LGBTQ+ community with a focus on initiatives that impact life, government, and business to transform the community to be a more inclusive and welcoming City for residents and guests.
On January 22nd, 2022, members of the Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council successfully produced the Inaugural My Hollywood Pride. The success of the event led to the incorporation of My Hollywood Pride, Inc. later that year to take over the role of producing this annual event. The Hollywood LGBTQ+ Council continues to produce the My Hollywood Pride event with our all-volunteer committee! We are proud to be the only place that can say “Pride Starts Here” as we produce the first pride festival of the year across the country (and beyond)!
The past three years we have gathered in Downtown Hollywood and our 2025 edition will join the history of Hollywood’s Centennial Celebration. On Sunday, January 26th, we will once again say, “Welcome Home” to our guests visiting Hollywood with our theme this year, “Keep It 💯” which honors the achievement by the City of Hollywood receiving a perfect 💯 score on the Human Rights Campaign Muicipal Equality Index. Over the last several years, Florida has been a leader in anti-LGBTQ+ legislation that attacks our identities and civil rights. These policies have had increased focus on youth and our siblings in the trans community. LGBTQ+ people have long created their own chosen families in the face of adversity and marginalization. With that in mind, we are inviting you to join us as though we were welcoming you back to our home, and to remind everyone that we are stronger together.
Our mission is to provide a space where everyone is welcome, and where you can feel proud to be who you are. And it is in that space where we can laugh, dance, and unite our community and allies in celebration of Pride! In 2025, we will continue to provide a place that offers family-inclusive programming and activities for teens and kids of all ages. Each year’s growth has made it possible for us to reinvest in the festival itself, but starting in 2025, we will have the opportunity to give back to the community as well, making a portion of the proceeds available to help fund an LGBTQ+ and Family Youth Summit in collaboration with the Art and Culture Center Hollywood. My Hollywood Pride, Inc is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that produces the very first pride event of the year anywhere in the world! we set a unique tone, celebrating LGBTQ history, culture, art, and community in a way that is family-inclusive and grounded in shared values of community across South Florida throughout the year during satellite events too – but it all starts with the festival in January!
