2025 Trailblazer Honoree

Misty Eyez, MBA, MHA, CSSGB, is a transgender trailblazer, thought leader, and keynote speaker celebrated for igniting transformative change. In addition to challenging audiences to step beyond their comfort zones, she empowers them to embrace their own authentic selves while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion. An icon of South Floida’s entertainment scene since 2000, Misty has emceed major events like the Stonewall Street Festival, and Wicked Manors Block Party. Misty’s journey from entertainment to social services began in 2015 with SunServe, where she played a pivotal role in launching the LGBTQ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training Program. Soon thereafter, she spent much of her time assisting the SunServe case managers in linking trans clients to biomedical prevention, healthcare, mental health therapist, and other vital services. It is no surprise that before long, she became both a trainer and case manager herself. By 2019, she had risen to the call to be the director of three SunServe programs: Education & Training, Transgender Services, and Women’s Services.
